FR SS 3050S - Propane refilling

OK, yet another newbie question...

I want to have the built-in propane tank filled but understand that a lot of gas stations that handle propane only do BBQ tanks, not "automotive".

Do I need a Gas station that fills automotive propane specifically?

Every gas station that I used that handled portable propane tanks also filled my fixed motorhome tank. never an issue. Of course , not all gas stations fill propane

I have a feeling that the guy at the station I stopped at either didn't want to come out and do it or he didn't understand (or I didn't explain clearly enough!) that the RV doesn't run on propane, I just need the tank filled!!!

Oh well, I'll keep investigating.

Thanks!

You can always contact your local lp gas dealer they can take care of you. In the US Love's and Pilot Truck stops usally have propane.

Good Luck and Happy Camping

PS if they sell propane motor fuel they can fill your RV Its the same connection

Around here some feed supply and lumber yards will fill your tanks.
Problem I have with a couple is there is only room enough to back in next to their tank.

I would bet most RV dealers would fill as well.

Thanks to everyone with your suggestions and info.

We found two stations close to us that fill our 3050S propane tank. It's a LOT easier than I made it out to be in my own mind! Basically, any auto-filling station can to the built-in tank.

Anyway, Thanks again!

Just a question.

How hard is it to remove the tank/s from your MH?
