Furnace Ductwork Contacting Wood

Hello all I have a brand new 2023 Vibe 34BH model and I have been living in it full time with the family for about 5 months now.
We recently hit a decent cold snap in Arizona here and with the furnace running so much in the trailer I got a good feel for what it can do.
The furnace is near the back of the trailer so obviously I’m getting more heat back there , I don’t have concerns with the furnace it runs good and holds the temp , front of the trailer is cooler because it’s furthest from the furnace, but the heat still gets there so that’s ok.

Main concern is the pantry where the heater is the top two ducts come in contact with the bottom shelf of the pantry which is a thin plywood. I don’t see any burn marks on the wood , but the ducts get so hot I got some concerns.
I took the thin wood panel cover off to let the furnace breathe a little more and leave the pantry door open , but that is just to really allow some of that heat escape into the trailer. Considering a mod here or just ripping the shelf out for now, but not sure if this is ok.
I’ve seen a lot of hot cabinets on trailers before , but this was first time I’ve seen it like this

How hot does it get?

How hot does wood have to get to combust?
Wood placed in an oven at 700°F. catches fire almost immediately. At oven temperatures of 450°-500°F., the wood gradually chars and usually ignites after several hours.
Do you think it gets this hot?

Probably not as hot as you think.
I just searched for three different duct limit switches for Suburban Heaters, 150, 160 and 195 degrees. It did not say F or C but figuring F.

You can look up specs for your make and model heater.

I ran boat bilge pump hose for supplying air to my underbelly and was concerned about the heat. Maybe three feet from the furnace it was 140 degrees. Hose was rated higher than that so I figure it is not going to melt.

Check with a infrared or even a meat thermometer taped to the duct. You can always foil tape some thick washer between the duct and the wood. Or reflectix insulation.

I keep my air circulating with these. May help in moving air forward. I am more concerned with the humidity than cold spots though.
