Furnace issue resolved
Long story short - we discovered that our non-functioning furnace in our little Clipper FQ17 was the result of a safety switch on the door to the bathroom. The switch has "sunk" into the jamb, so closing the door does not close it and satisfy some odd safety feature. My$.02 is that I definitely want the warm air in the toilet/shower area when it's cold!
Anyways, manually depressing the switch (until I bypass it) allows the furnace to come on for cold mornings.
