Furnace Limits itself at 68-69 degrees and cycles off

Hello,

I have a 2013 XLR Thunderbolt 380AMP and my furnace is limiting itself to 68-69 degrees. System operates normal cycling on/off, but when I set the thermostat at say 75 degrees, the system still only warms the camper to 68-69 degrees and cycles off.

The control board is brand new.

So... Is this considered a "Limit/Sail switch" issue?

Thx

I would guess either a bad tstat or a bad hi temp limit on the furnace itself. I would start with t stat,

I agree.
I would bet it is a faulty T-stat.

I would see if I could jump the stat on the sub-base. It should run till you turn it off.

Not familiar with this unit, but could this be an issue of thermostat placement? I had a situation with tstat right in warm air blast range of a vent and heat cut off as soon as stat got warm, leaving the house cooler.

It is possible to be something like this and I don't think the OP ever specifically said whether the T-stat was reading the set temperature... only that the camper would only warm to 68-69º.

OP... what ambient temperature displays on the T-stat when set to 75º and the furnace shuts off?

Motor was actually failing after it ran for a bit. Coincidence it was running long enough to get temps up to 68-69 degrees. Replaced motor and I'm back in business. Thx
