Has Anyone Heard of GasStop??

I ran across this device at the last RV show. I bought 2 for my fifth wheel. I also have a discount code of MRD2019 for 10% off. I think it will be great for people who leave their pet alone when they go out. I would hate for the RV to have a gas fire while we were gone. It shuts the gas off completely in case of a catastrophic rupture. Please look at it and tell me your opinion.

It looks like a good idea to me... If I understand the correct build procedure for LP tanks then they already have this. I have read where can fail or at least the member thought it did.

I think that the potable tanks have that shut off with that change internally was made like 15 years ago. I'm not sure about built in tanks but I'm sure they must have it to. I had a gage like that years ago that just read the level. It worked well.

I did a little research before buying it. The RV hoses with the green knobs have a hole size which limits the flow of propane in case of a broken line but it does not stop it completely. I saw that firsthand when I had a pigtail go bad last year. The GasStop stops the flow completely. I was worried about a fire while gone or asleep until someone at a show told me of a China Bomb blowing, ripping out their propane hose, and burning up their trailer. There are probably other good reasons to have a flow stop device that I haven't thought of. Kinda like a Boy Scout, I like to Be Prepared!

GasStop

I posted this on another thread but didn't get much input. I ran across this device at the last RV show and bought 2 for my fifth wheel. I think it will be great for people who leave their pet alone when they go out. I would hate for the RV to have a gas fire while we were gone. It shuts the gas off completely in case of a catastrophic rupture. Please look at it and tell me your opinion. I found a discount code of MRD2019 for 10% off.

I see a usefulness in the event of a collision.

Which Mod moved my post? As I was not getting much input, I wanted to ask the question on the Cedar Creek thread, one of which I own. Did I violate a standard or policy by posting there to get more info??
