Help me replace this hose, please

Hi all. Can you please help me find replacement parts for this hose and regulator? It's all one piece, so the whole thing needs to be replaced. The regulator is leaking and I'm confident the problem isn't with the tank. (First pic.)

I tried local stores, Ace, Tractor Supply, Lowes and no one could help.

One thing that isn't clear to me is why is there a regulator on one side of the changeover valve but not the other. (Second pic shows a short hose that connects the tank directly to the changeover valve without a regulator.) Any help clarifying its purpose would also be helpful.

Pic 3 is the bad regulator.

Thanks, Skip

Looks to me as if the hoses screw into the regulator. Unscrew them, get a replacement regulator, and then screw them back in.

They absolutely do.

Find a good Propane gas dealer and they can get you fixed up. Most of them can make up hoses and match up fittings and regulators for you.

Thanks Blackrock. I'll give that a try on Monday unless someone can point me to online replacement parts.

Thanks Chickdoe and Iwritecode. While the hoses appear to screw into the regulator, I think that was one time only. The hoses are factory sealed to the regulator. Believe me, I wrenched on them pretty hard before reading the back of the regulator.

Still unclear to me why one side of the changeover has a regulator and the other side does not.

Thanks again.

That is a high pressure regulator to regulate dual tank long distance separation applications to 30psig. Such as in the long crossover line from one side of a fifth wheel to the other side where the auto switchover regulator is. Became required when they changed all the RV propane rules about 10-12 years ago.
And those hose fittings can absolutely be removed from that regulator. Those regulators seem to fail fairly often. I got tired of replacing mine and just removed it and coupled the hoses together like was done prior to the safety rule changes. All the hoses and pigtails are rated at 300psi.
A good propane distributor should be able to make up the hoses and have one of those regulators also. The hoses they make will better than most anything you can buy. I had them make up new pigtails for me and I no longer have to replace them almost yearly.

Propane Hoses

My Propane Dealer either has them in stock, or will make up any type hose and connection necessary. Most of them will do he same.

You may as the propane dealer about using a residential high pressure regulator as they last much longer, maybe a few more dollars upfront. I have one at the tank feeding 200’ of 1.25 in line with several taps. Mine is 12 years old so far.

The hose may be a reverse thread.

3x Alternatively a big truck hose shop or any propane dealer.

Thanks for all the help and for explaining the purpose of this regulator. As you all said, those hoses do come off. I didn't have good enough tools in the camper but at home, they came off easily. I've got a replacement regulator on its way so will have everything back in working order before the furnace needs to go on.

If it fails a second time, I'll go the route of a propane dealer.

Thanks again,
