Pull it out and look at the date on the back. Mine was 2 years old and I replaced it. Good now. If its like mine you will find a fuse you can pull to shut off.

Our alarm reached its lifetime in five years, so I replaced it and the new one worked fine until the battery level indicator on the wall showed only two lights. I ran the generator for a half hour and all the lights came on and I resent the alarm. The instruction manual had all the answers about alarm light and sound sequences. When all else fails.....read the manual.
Ours went off on our first trip after purchasing it. Second owner with 10k miles. It shut down the propane system because of the valve at the tank. Turned it off and reset it but no help. I took off the regulator with the intent to just remove the valve. When I took the two wires off the valve, I found that they both probably had the Y shaped butt connectors on them but one was broken off and put back in with the screw tightened down onto the insulation around the wire. I stripped it back and secured it on the screw down connector. That fixed it. Check your shut off valve connections.

Better safe than sorry,,, check your propane plumbing !!!
If it is new,,, you may need to run the furnace a while to burn the newness off !!!
Check the stove & oven for leaks !!! With the doors open !!!
Turned on my propane tank and the co2 detector went off- nothing was turned on
Previously I turned on the heat just to try the furnace and it came on and the co2 detector also came on?
Any suggestions would be appropriated
BTW, it's CO (carbon monoxide) that will kill ya and for which we have detectors. We don't monitor CO2 (carbon dioxide) which comes out our mouths when we breathe.
Keep in mind other things can set them off besides propane and CO...... Aerosol sprays like hairsprays have been known set them off as well.
But having said that, our issue is that it does not take much to bump a knob on the stove that allow a small amount of propane to escape and set the alarm off.
