Propane leak inside camper.

Disregard, found the problem!

We store our camper on our side yard plugged into 30amp service. This morning the propane co2 combination alarm was going off and when we entered the camper there was a very heavy odor of propane. We turned off the tanks outside and opened doors and windows. The alarm is off now. We turned off the breaker for the camper and made sure there was nothing on that uses propane. So we obviously have a leak somewhere.

We have a 2017 work and play 30wrs. My husband is going to look for the leak after the propane smell is completely cleared. We still are under extended warranty so if he can’t find the leak or fix it easily he will take it in for service. He HATES to have to get stuff serviced. He is an airline mechanic so has mechanical ability and would rather fix stuff himself.

Does anyone know if there is an obvious starting point for most likely point of failure to start the leak detection process?

These are my propane using appliances:
Furnace. Suberban nt20sq
Range. Suberban cv35bp
Fridge. Norcold n811vfwd
Water heater. Atwood gc6aa-10e

Thanks!

Fridge leak would be external, not inside.
I'd guess a rubber hose burst.

Wow, just realized we had a portable stove in the garage in a box we use for the boat. I completely forgot about it. Uses the little green tanks. He had asked me was there anything in the camper like portable stoves. I Told him no! Geez, that was an exciting start to Mothers Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

At least you know that the propane detector works.

Be sure the green tank is removed from the regulator for the portable stove. Unscrew it. Those are notorious for leaking.
On the installed appliances they usually (but not always) try to minimize connections inside so check each flex line where it connects to the appliance and go from there.

I had a similar situation last year at FROG. Turned out I had apparently bumped into one of the knobs on the stove and gas was coming out of the partially turned on burner. I'll be checking to make sure everything on the stove is turned off now for sure.

We have experienced a propane smell and our propane alarm went off as well. We are suspecting the water heater and that we need to tighten some connections. I see that you discovered your problem. What was it? Maybe it would help us to know as well. Thanks
