Propane system inop

I have a 2015 Palomino Sabre 34REQS-6 Platinum Edition 5th Wheel. On a recent trip, the Gavagna propane pressure regulator would not change from green to red even though I disconnected both empty tanks. So I bought a replacement (Flameking). Now, other than the HWH, none of the other appliances (refrigerator, furnace, stove/oven) will fire. I’ve attempted to purge the air by allowing gas from the stovetop to flow freely, but to no avail. What am I missing? I appreciate all comments!

Sounds like a flow control valve has tripped. This can happen if you open the cylinder valve too fast. Turn the cylinder valves off then disconnect the pigtail from the cylinder. Re-attach the pigtail and open the cylinder valve slowly, then attempt to purge the line of air and attempt to light the stove burners.

I understand what you are both saying (and I’ve disconnected/reconnected & swapped full tanks) but if the pigtails were defective, why is my HWH fully working on gas alone??

Is there gas/air flowing out the stove burners?

Have you tried the furnace?

If you are hearing a hissing sound when you open a stove burner knob, you are getting some amount of propane from the tank(s). How long did you purge the lines?

Did you flip the lever on the regulator to get the indicator to change?

No gas or hissing sounds coming out of the stovetop burners. Ugh!

Is your water heater running on electric and not gas?

The HWH is operating on propane with the burner on the outside of the 5r obviously burning fuel.

So the stove, oven, furnace and fridge doesn’t work but the WH does?

You said you replaced the regulator? Do you have the regulator set for "auto" or is it set for a dedicated cylinder? Trying to rule out some things. A pic of your regulator would be helpful.

From looking at pics online, it appears that the stove top and refrigerator are both in the same slide. If that's correct, I would look for a pinched or damaged propane line caused by the movement of the slide.

I did a quick test to confirm. At least for me, this isn't the correct expectation. "would not change from green to red even though I disconnected both empty tanks". Mine also stays green in that scenario. I think you need no pressure from primary side (which you had) and pressure from the secondary (which you did not have) to turn it red. With no pressure from either side, there is no force to change the current color. So I'm not sure the regulator was ever actually part of the problem.

Hope that helps.

UPDATE: as Skip12 suggested, the root cause was a pinched hose underneath the kitchen slide! Thanks to all who helped with the analysis!!
