Regulator

I have a auto change over regulator off my old camper. It's the one with the site glass that turns red and green. It hasn't been used in 2 years. Well I put it on my new camper with fresh bottles and I can't get it to turn green. Think it has froze up inside. Anyway to free it up or just get another?

When mine failed like that, I just replaced it. Inexpensive enough.....

Did you install the old one yourself?
Does it show "Green" until you open an appliance?

Causes of "no gas - RED" indications

1) Joint Leaks - Were joints sealed with gas safe (yellow) Teflon tape?
2) Leak shutoff valves tripped - If the tanks are opened too fast, the safety valve in the pigtail can trip shutting off flow. (Open very slowly after at least a 2 minute "rest" to reset.
3) Empty tanks
4) Bad regulator - stuck check valves in inlets to regulator body.

Sight glass is red and there r no leaks, checked with soap and water. Freshly filled tanks.

I ended up getting another one and I'm good to go. Heading out in a few hrs and needed to get the fridge going.

Tks guys!!
