Suburban furnace question

This week we were camping in our 2016 2604ws camper. Middle if the night we ran out of propane. Woke up cold switched to other tank and furnace clicked three times but wouldn't light. Stove lit fine other than dimming when furnace was clicking. Tank looked low so I refilled them both which took about 4 hours. Hooked up refilled tank and it failed the same way. Thought I had a bad igniter.
Spent next night cold and next morning thought what the heck lets try it again.
It worked fine and kept working for the next two days. Anyone have any ideas why it quit and can I trust it to keep working? Is there something that is an auto shutoff when out of propane that eventually resets on its own?
Thanks
Rick

I believe that the Suburban furnaces need to be reset after they fail to light for a few times. I believe that's as simple as just shutting it off at the thermostat, waiting a while, then turning back on.

Since you were able to restart the next morning and it worked for the next two days it sounds like that's how it works for yours.

I haven't ever run out of propane. I carry two extra tanks and a bit obsessive when it comes to making sure I have plenty of LPG before nightfall. Also added the Mopeka tank level gauge which makes it easy to see how full the tanks are. Either the LED's on the main monitor or a "percentage" on the Smartphone app.

I thought of that but it was turned off the four hours I went to get the new refills. I would think if it reset itself it would of done it in four hours. But it is possible it takes longer.
Thanks for the reply
