Using furnace air condition fan stay on?

Long story but we have been staying at our Daughter's house in the RV

The furnace works great keeping us warm.

The weird thing is that the front AC in the ceiling is on and stays on when the thermostat turns the furnace off.

This can't be normal???

The front ac is set to run a fan. You need to turn off the front ac..

Go,to your thermostat... press the zone button until zone 2 appears... then press the mode button until off appears...

Then press zone again until you are back to zone 1 and you will be able to operate the furnace as before..

dalford is spot on. Here’s an article that basically says the same thing:
https://learntorv.com/help-ac-comes-...heat-comes-on/

The idea is that hot air rises. It’ll get sucked in by the A/C air intake and then blown out by the air conditioning vents helping to better distribute it. At least, that was one explanation that I read.

I do use the “heat rises” theory but I set the zone 1 fan to low when I go to bed. I set the zone 1 for furnace but usually at 70 degrees. I use an electric heater and the fireplace in the living area. My theory is that the warm air generated by the fireplace and space heater will be distributed throughout the RV. If the temp falls below 70 degrees then the furnace kicks on.

I don’t use the fan in zone 2 (bedroom) as it is very noisy. Usually the only time I use zone 2 is during hot times where zone 1 needs help. At night, I turn zone 2 off and turn zone 1 fan to low from auto and set the cool temp appropriately. This keeps the bedroom cool without the loud noise of the zone 2 ac...
