IMO: That is an atmospheric vent for your LP gas bottle compartment. This allows for the air within the LP compartment to vent out to atmosphere (outside) to keep from having build-up of LP gas IF there was even a small leak.
BTW, the LP bottle compartment has virtually no floor, any leaked gas just falls out the bottom. This little vent just lets in some air to keep ventilation moving.
Yeah but without it how else would they cover that hole somebody drilled in the side of your rig???
