What do you call this little vent thingy?
This is the little vent that goes to the LP gas bottle compartment.
I have tried every imaginable verbiage or phrase to get search engines to find me one on the internet. Even went to the Camping World site and searched there.
Somebody please tell me what to call it so I can order one.

I could probably use the battery box vent version. The difference is the battery box version has a short "tube" for the vent hose to attach to. The LP compartment version has no such tube and is just a flat piece with the louvers cut in it. Being simpler it should be cheaper.

The only vent I have like that is hooked to the battery box.
Mine is black and mounted to the front next to the front storage.

So cut the tube off.

X2 On battery box vent. Should be mounted near the bottom of the propane compartment is it is propane vent.

Neither of mine are at the bottom on my 5er. I think they just let air in and the fumes vent out the bottom thru the NUMEROUS holes in the belly.

I believe it's called a "louvered" vent, but good luck finding one just like it. They make similar ones for the enclosed cargo trailers.

OK, found it...
Battery Box Louver, White, Bulk Packaging | 898500 | A10-3300 | VALTERRA PRODUCTS, INC. :: RV Outlet Mall
They are $1.99 and I need 2 each. Plus $5 "handling" and $13 fedex shipping. $20 for $4 worth of parts? Not gonna happen. But at least I have a part number.
Apparently there is no such thing as an "LP compartment vent" even though every 5th wheel has them.

Found them here:
https://www.rvsupplyparts.com/index.php
For $1.88 each and reasonable shipping so I got some DICOR lap seal as well.
Thanks for all the clues. I'd still be looking for "LP compartment vents" which is what it does, but what it IS is a battery box vent.
Go figure.
BTW, the LP bottle compartment has virtually no floor, any leaked gas just falls out the bottom. This little vent just lets in some air to keep ventilation moving.

Correct - a battery compartment vent.
Mine has a black cover completely over the battery with a flexible ~2.5" hose going up to this vent.
This is to vent the hydrogen from the charging battery. Hydrogen is lighter than air, so it needs to go up. Venting the hydrogen is important due to its highly explosive nature. (ref: Hindenburg)
As opposed to propane which is heavy, so it vents down through the open propane compartment floors. That's why boats typically don't use propane for cooking in the galley. It would pool in the hull creating a possible explosion hazard.
