A cover with vents & modifications to fit Aframe with front toy hauler rack-T12RBTHSE
Our A-frame with the front toy hauler is a total of 22.1 in long , but including the spare tire on the back but it's just 18 feet not counting the front mount. We wanted to cover that would protect both the A-frame trailer and the rack and front so that we could leave items on it.
We bought a 18-ft Classic Accessories Deluxe Polypro III Heavy-duty Pop-up Camper Cover. It has vents under the roof flap to avoid overheating and moisture build up. It also has a white roof to reduce heating and UV rays. We added nylon straps with fitting so that we could easily do tie downs underneath the trailer. We also added our own corner reinforcements as the side cloth is fairly thin and our corners are sharp.
I've attached a picture of the finished product and some of our additions. While we have roof racks to protect the dome windows above the dinette, we still want to put something near the dome windows in the back under the cover so that it doesn't rest directly on them. We aren't sure if it matters, my but we have heard some reports that it is better to avoid that. One suggestion I read was to use a blow up beach ball. I've used Adco covers in the past for my horse trailer and they typically last 2 years in Colorado winters, I think this cover is slightly more durable on the roof but seems to have the same cloth on the sides. But the real selling point was the vents.
