AC Cover to Keep Bugs Out

Typical DuoTherm Brisk Air AC.
Has anyone experimented with wrapping a screen mesh around the AC cowling to keep the Damn Mud Daubers out!
I'm thinking a large holed mesh (not big enough for the bugs to get thru) should allow air circulation for the coils.
Or, is there a prefab screen already made, similar to the screens that snap onto the heater intake/outlet?
