Air Conditioner Cover

Looking for a cover for Dometic Blizzard a/c. ADCO 3022 looks close but too short. ADCO 3023 looks too long by about 4 inches. Is anybody using either of these covers or some other cover for the Blizzard a/c?

Thanks

ADCO shows #3022 for my Dometic Blizzard a/c but the dimension for height is too small. A poor fit is confirmed by a forum post here. The next size up #3023 is too big on the length according to ADCO. No other ADCO cover is even close.

Cover For AC

Stupid question. Is it important to have a cover on your overhead AC unit? We have a 2016 Coachman Freelander Micro 20CB class C motor home. Thanks for the input.

Its a good question.

The shrouds on this model of a/c fit very poorly. Shockingly bad in fact. Rain water has no problem finding its way inside the enclosure. If all goes well it will drain out to the roof. If not ...

Since I store the trailer 1000 miles from where I live, I want to do everything possible to avoid a leak via the a/c opening.

I suppose it might provide sun protection for the plastics as well

The covers on the AC units are for aerodynamic issues and to help protect the coils from derbies and direct exposure of electrical components to sun and water. Your AC platform has drains and is sealed against the roof to prevent leaking into the unit. what you are trying to achieve is not necessary and was not designed that way.

I think the OP is looking for a removable 'cover' to go over the 'shroud' when the R/V is in storage.

To the OP... there are many sizes of grill/griddle covers that might fit if you can't find an A/C cover specifically made for your R/V.

I'm using a grill cover for our eBikes and used a smaller griddle cover for over the 5th wheel hitch several trucks ago.

Thanks for the feedback. Our unit is in winter storage and mt concern is that ice and snow could cause damage to the unit or leaks in the roof.
Thanks again.
