another roof question.

I've been up on the roof of my surveyor sp295 cleaning and checking the sealer and was wondering when I hear moaning and popping sounds if I'm damaging any structure...I weigh 232lbs.?? Are creaking, etc sounds normal when moving around or should I put some plywood on top to spread the weight out?

"Moaning" sounds wouldn't worry me too much, but the "popping" makes me wonder just what is making that sound? I try not to walk around on my roof, prefering to kindof crawl and scootch along. Most of these new units aren't built all that heavy-duty.

It actually makes more noise when I'm crawling and shifting around than when I'm walking. I try not to get on it much but they say scrub it 4 times a year so what's a person to do?

Get a good brush that you can attach to a pole. I use that along with a plank on extra tall saw horses.
