Angry armour all

armour all is a petroleum product and if used on your dash it will "out gas" and over the next few weeks you will notice a haze on your windshield that would not be there without the armour all. I would not use it on any roof or anything.

I don't like anything for dash that makes it shine. Reflections in front window.

I do believe that was meant to be humor...

I thought it was funny, anywayzzzzzzzzzz.....

Of course...I probably would blame it on 'Spell Check'!

Which doesn't always get it right...

I thought it was funny too. Unfortunately, has a lot of truth to it.

If you didn’t know how to spell it in the first place, you wouldn’t know it was misspelled and woldn’t know to use a dictionary.

The manufacturer of the rubber roof on our trailer recommended using the ORIGINAL Murphy Oil Soap to wash and protect the rubber roof.

I don’t use armor all on anything. It looks good when you first put it on, but it dries out anything it touches. Follow the manufacturer and use quality rv product to seal it

Armor All

I quit using Armor All back in the 90’s. It contains silicone which will cause cracking. The product “303” is bar far the best thing you could use for vinyls and leather. I’ve used it in the marine industry & with boat seats sitting out in the heat every day, 303 kept everything sprayed shiny & preserved. Including the gel coat. I used it on my TT especially the slide out rubber cushions.

X10 all above. Most Armor All products are pretty much just wax. Good way to fall off the roof. Bad enough if you put it on the running board.

Thumbs down

Agree with several others, Don't use that stuff on anything, especially on any rubber based products. It actually impregnates what ever you put it on, and results in changes its natural properties, often doing bad things over time. When in doubt, call the RV manufacturer and ask them what you should use on your particular trailer's roof

You know, since we all seem to have had the same bad experiences, and same very negative opinion of this stuff, it makes you wonder how that product has remained successful all these years. I guess good advertising pays off, unfortunately.

Yes, same as Snake Oil.

If you are young, or not raised in North America, this article may explain what I mean.

General Motors had a cracking dash problem on their Sierras SLT model trucks (with the Yukon dash) about 6 years ago. It was a supplier defect. They did an in depth study to see if Armour All and all the other like products were the cause-they found out they were not and made no difference.

So-don't know about apply it to EPDM roofs but there is no evidence they cause dash cracking.

No application needed

The rubber roof manufacturers say to not apply any protectants.
