Bug marks front 5th wheel

Got back from trip down South, washed and struggle with bug “blemishes” on front of 5th wheel. I am looking into clay bar with detailer solution. Any suggestions? Tks

We live in Florida. Most bug splatters are easy to remove. Love bug season is twice a year. Those little flyers are hard to remove. I’ve been using plenty of water and a used dryer sheet which makes short work of the love bugs and road moths. I even drop a used sheet into my scrub water bucket just in case there is a tough splatter.

Yup... dryer sheets. After you wash the cap, while still wet, use wet dryer sheet. Come right off.

Thank you, once I clean any thoughts on a product to protect finish on the front of 5th wheel? Been reading a little on Turtle wax paste. Was thinking this might resolve issue in the future, tks

I double wax my front cap whenevy I wax the rest of the RV. It makes removing bug corpse relatively easy.
Recently waxed my truck with a McQuires ceramic wax. Gives it a very slick surface and easy to apply. I’m considering using it on the front cap.

Thank you makes good sense. Have you ever tried turtle wax paste by chance?

I have not used turtle wax since my teen years. I’m sure the formulation has changed since then.
I have been using Nu-Finish which is a liquid and pretty easy to use.
Talking to a person recently that waxes RVs for a living and has a good reputation. He used a McQuires wax that is marketed for fiberglass boats.
The McQuires ceramic wax I used was even easier to use and reviews reports it will last longer than Nu-Finish. You can find it at Wal-Mart.
It’s a little on the pricey side, but so far I believe it’s worth it.
