I just spoke to my parts man at dealer today about caulking around molding and fenders. He said don't use anything that Says silicone. Said to use "adhesive caulk "

After searching forums and looking around, I used OSI Quad caulk found at HD and Lowes. It's exterior door and window caulk and it has worked well and held up for me. It is a little less expensive than what you find at your local RV dealer. But, you can't go wrong with the stuff from the RV dealer either. I'd just certainly stay away from silicone products as others have suggested too.

Well... After not doing my research first, I caulked a few marker lights with a Silicone based caulk.

Do I need to remove?

I ended up buying some ProFlex that was just delivered yesterday. But do I need to remove what I did and start new, or am I good with this for now till it starts to deteriorate then use the ProFlex

They used 16 tubes of standard silicone 4 years ago to recaulk seams on my Park Model after moving it. There are no issues with it in its fifth year.
