Columbia SC quality Auto Body Painters

Hello,
I live in the Columbia, South Carolina area. We have a 2017 Prime Time Lacrosse travel trailer that has the dreaded front cap fade. We purchased it new in 2016. Clearcoat is popping of which then fades the gel coat fiberglass. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me the names of some reputable auto body shops that could prep, paint, and apply decals to my front cap. Pictures are attached.

Thanks in advance for any help.

IDK about Columbia, but about 200 miles west of you is Apalachee RV in Auburn, GA. They have extensive experience with repairing, prepping and painting front caps. Both Forest River and Thor send units to them for the warranty repair.

Better yet...they do the work by appointment. Your trailer won’t sit around a few weeks unless you choose to do that. (770) 868-0999

Ten miles down the road is National Indoor RV Center in Lawrenceville, GA. They have a paint and body shop on site. They are a motor home specialist so IDK if they do trailers. Like Apalachee all work is done by appointment. (770) 979-4051

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

Thanks for the reply and the information. I was hoping I could find a shop closer to home. But having an appointment is a big deal. I do not want my trailer to set the whole summer and not be able to use it.

I understand that. Iíve had dealings with both of the mentioned shops. Made appointment for work, showed up at the time and work started immediately. For NIRVC warranty parts were pre-ordered and on site when I arrived.

Iíve seen Apalacheeís paint work and was impressed. Thereís probably an automotive place nearer to you but Iím also sure leaving the trailer would present a security risk. And, finding a place experienced in prepping and painting fiberglass or whatever is on your trailer could present problems.

Tony's RV in Lexington did Paint/sidewall work for my coachmen 5th wheel about 2 years ago. So far it looks fine. There is a Semi truck place by the airport that paints buses and Large RV's. I think it was Gerber Commercial. They seemed to have good reviews, but my claim was warranty, so I went with Tony's. Hope that helps.
