Beside a tube of Dicor, it looks like a tube of KY Jelly was also sold to the OP.

Thanks for all the responses...

Guess this does mean that all the roof seams should have been resealed as part of a normal maintenance. Thanks to everyone who replied and it's back to the CW tomorrow...

Ask what the service CW performs includes. The words matter. Reseal, roof maintenance, annual roof maintenance, roof repair, etc.. Try not to assume too much and be specific about what you want.

Hope things work out

Let us know what happens, how things got resolved.

I just used Henry TropiCool coating on my roof. Brushed it on over all the old Dicor caulk. Stuff is great. Liquid rubber seeps into all the cracks and pin holes. Then I re-caulked along my gutters with Henry 884 caulk.
On Saturday I mixed up some TSP and scrubbed everything down. Let dry.
Sunday I did the coating.
Total hours of work, about three. Used only one tube of caulk to do down both gutters, 40' each side.

You got hosed for the little bit of caulk they pumped out up there.

Poor Re-seal, if at all...

Looks like a 14 year old kid was handed a caulk gun of Dicor, with no adult supervision, and told to “Git-r-done”.
Hopefully you can show the Service Manager the job, look him/her in the face and ask; “Are you proud of this workmanship you charged $670 labor for?”

In addition to the posts about how you have been ripped off, I would be concerned about the water that has now infiltrated the insulation in your roof.
Water in insulation = wood rot.
Ask me how I know.

I agree with others! I also have a 2250. A 2012. I just used dicor on the seams and eternal bond. Did wonders for all the leaks. Keep us posted.

OUCH, $700 for what you are showing is a fraction of the job, first the roof and joint surfaces should have bee cleaned, second and most importantly they need to reseal the entire joint, and all areas around any penetration, especially the long one where the front meets the rubber roof surface, this is a common place of failure. How did they come up with the $700 price tag, is it a time and materials or a flat rate service, time and materials is pretty simple math, you take the caulk (per tube) the labor (Hourly billable rate per hour) and add them up. From the pictures you provided you don't have anything more than hours labor and 1 tube of caulk. For comparison I have a 42' fifth wheel and last season the inspection they wanted to charge me was about $350 plus sealant, because my unit was at the end of it's 1 year warranty I talked the dealer into covering it for my first year. Time to take it back to the dealer and get the rest of the job done for the money you spent.

Today, I finally got a look at the seams and since I'm kind of new to this motorhome thing thought I'd ask if the pics are typical for a roof reseal?

Thanks in advance...
They obviously charge $1000.00 an hour plus materials at cost times 10. Your lucky if they spent 30 minutes on that hack job.

We are not sure good or bad but our 42' camper was washed (sides and roof) and the roof resealed for $400. Same day service at the campground at our campsite. They used at least 12 tubes of dicor self leveling sealant. (I lost count at 12.) I was told 12-14 tubes would be used and they were.

If it were mine, I would take lots of close up photos, take them to the dealer and tell them you will be posting these on Facebook and other websites showing what your $700 got you. If they choose not to refund or make it right by cleaning and properly sealing at a reasonable cost, them post the photos along with the names of the service people you contacted.

Agreed one tube of Dicor and they ran out of that tube halfway across the front seam which is the critical seam along with the rear cap seam. Around the vent openings, it looks like they used a liquid sealer (don't know the name) to "reseal" the existing sealant, something I noticed most dealers use to "prep" a rig prior to re-sale.

On my last two class A's I used Eternabond Tape along the front and back cap seams. Each end took about an hour to clean out the old Dicor along the rooftop, not out of the seam itself, clean, and tape with the Eternabond. Worry free preventive maintenence.

I would....

I would print all these messages and show it to the Service Rep. If they balk against the agreed advice of more than probably several hundred years of combined RV experience, I'd seriously take my business elsewhere after getting my money back.

And I almost spoiled my drink with the mention of the 12-year old told to git-r-done!
