EDPM roof or XTRM (PVC) ply roofing
Hail damage to roof. Roof replaced. Travel Trailer came from OEM with a upgraded roof, XTRM PLY PVC roof system. Dealer stated to all, the hail damaged roof was a EPDM roof. Submitted claim to Insurance and Trailer now has a EPDM roof. Now I realize the Dealer put the wrong roof on my trailer. Shoddy install job. Screw heads backing out. Bubbles, seams showing-uneven, etc...
From what I can read the XTRM PVC is the better roof. No yearly maintenance required on the PVC. The PVC is stronger, more durable, no black stripes leaking on the trailer, and a 15 year warranty. If you hit a tree limb and tear the roof; the PVC is repairable. The EPDM is not repairable. And, the EPDM will need a rubber compound roll-on in 5-7 years.
Should the Dealer tear off the EPDM and put the PVC roof on that came on the Trailer from the OEM? Suggestions on resolving this issue?
