Eternabond Tape to seal Skylight

I have seen that a lot of people use Eternabond tape to seal vents and other places on their roof. I had a leak around the shower skylight and used 4" Eternabond tape over the Dicor sealant on all four sides. Using a roller I went over all the tape to make sure it bonded. I took down the skylight cover inside over the shower and dried the area. I found out the hard way it is not a good idea to lap the tape over the other strips when putting it around the skylight on the roof. It leaked at the corners where the tape was overlapped. I seem to have stopped the leak by applying Dicor around the seams where the tape over lapped at each corner.
I am writing this incase someone else decided to use it and does the same thing.
My question is how to you apply Eternabond tape to seal vents or skylights to keep it from leaking? Do you always have to use Dicor where it over laps or on seams?

X2, I’ve always read when applying Eternabond sealing with Dicor self leveling on all edges of the Eternabond is a must

I just did one of the vents with Eternabond tape. I still have more work to do with the tape. Do I need to seal at each corner of the vent with the Dicor? Also, where else do I need to use the Dicor? Do I need to use it everywhere I have the tape overlapping like on the end caps and side edges of the RV?
