After seeing a good review for this ceiling exhaust fan
https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Reve...6&sr=8-36&th=1
I bought one.
(Got it $70 cheaper than Amazon on Ebay.)
I think I'm gonna like it a lot.
It's brushless DC motor is silent on low speed.
On higher speeds you do hear the fan/wind noise but it moves a
remarkable amount of air on 3 or 4.
That's what I was looking for!
It has auto close with a rain sensor but I would still like to put a cover on it so we can still have ventilation even if it's raining.
Problem-- This fan opens to 15 inches high.
I can't find any roof vent covers that are anywhere close to that big/tall.
There seems to be no way to manually open it to slightly less than all the way. When you hit the button it opens fully and there is no way to stop it.
It's either all the way open or all the way closed. Bummer....
I -might- have been able to modify the setting on the open limit switch
but didn't realize I'd need to do that until I had it screwed and sealed to the roof. 20/20 hind sight strikes again!
If you have any suggestions on a "big and tall" roof vent cover- PLEASE
drop a reply here!
Thanks!!
