Fiberglass repair

We're considering a new RV that has this damage. The dealer says that they will do the repair including a new decal. Is anyone experienced with such repairs. I assume that it might look ok at first, but how about a year from now??
I'll appreciate any opinions,

New as in brand new model or older model, new to you?

If brand new, you better be getting a substantial discount and something in writing.

If just new to you, will the repair make the rest of the unit look bad? As in, will the new paint/decal be all shiny where the other parts are duller or faded?

I'd never be concerned about the repair. Reputable shops fix fiberglass/gel coat all the time.

My concern would be how it affects the rest of the R/V from a cosmetic point and into what kind of discount you get.

Thanks 5picker. It turns out that the dealer is going to replace the entire nose cap. I assume that's a good solution? It's a new 2020 Heritage Ridge 24rks. Thanks much for your comments, John

Sounds like a great solution.
Best of luck to you with your purchase experience.

Any idea what happened to cause the damage?
