Front cap Clear coat cracking
I have a 2016 Forest River Salem Hemisphere travel trailer. The front fiberglass cap is painted a dark gray.
While cleaning and waxing it the other day, I noticed some very small cracks in the front cap clearcoat, primarily where the trailer gets the most sun exposure. These are not the typical spider fiberglass cracks.
I did a little research online and this was referred to as “checking”. Supposedly the dark paint and clearcoat are susceptible to this and over time it might allow moisture to cause bumps in the fiberglass.
Has anyone experienced this and is there any thing I can do about it?
