Geocel Proflex RV sealant

I replaced my vent with a Maxxfan last and when I went to caulk around it I found out I didn’t have any dicor lap sealant (thought I had everything I needed before I started) and needed to caulk it up as rain was possible overnight. I used Geocel Proflex RV sealant for the gap between the fan and the roof. I have come to find out that it shouldn’t be used on my TPO roof after I finished the install.

Anyone have any idea what problems I may be in for? It’s been on for about 10 hours so far. Should I remove it all? Have I messed up my roof membrane already?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bob

Thank you for the quick reply. I was worried I might haven’t damaged my roof when I read it wasn’t compatible with TPO.

So I had a chance to call the company that makes the geocel Proflex RV sealant. He said there wasn’t any risk to damaging the roof membrane from my install. The problem was that the Proflex doesn’t bond to TPO or EPDM roofing and it won’t seal as expected. So I think I’m just going to seal the unit with 4 inch eternabond tape and call it a wrap.
Also It rained pretty hard the night after my install so fingers crossed that I didn’t get any water penetration.

Thanks for all your help

Bob
