How long to wait before putting eternabond over fresh dicor

I replaced my faulty Fantastic Fan with a new Maxxair. Installed it and sealed the edges and screw holes with dicor as per the instructions.
I previously had eternabond around it and I want to reapply it. How long should I wait?
(I did search through a lot of threads but didn’t see an answer!)

this is a guess on my part I think I would wait at least 72 hours or longer before covering. Myself I would just leave the decor if it covered good. JMHO

I def want to get eternabond on. It was on the old one and it looks awful now without it!
Thanks!

as long as the Dicor is semi-liquid and not yet hard to the touch I would leave the eternabond off... personally I would have put a piece of two-sided butyl tape under the fan edge, then applied the eternabond and skipped the dicor altogther...

Yea, I didn’t use my brain in that one. Lol the instructions said dicor and I blindly followed them 🤣[emoji22]

Vote 2 for me too. I would have done eternabond first (probably only) then added dicor where needed. But I am certainly no expert.

When it’s dry to the touch, then put it over it.

Putting Eterna bond over dicor

If the weather is between 50 and 70 Degrees Fahrenheit, the Dicor Self Leveling Lap Sealant takes 5 minutes to skin over and is waterproof after 4 hours. After 48 hours, the sealant is about 80% cured. It can take up to 30 days to cure to 100%. I would not lay tape over till the dicor is cured.
