It's one of those frustrating facts. Fresh wax attracts dust. Especially in dry climates where the rubbing/buffing produces more static.
Some waxes have better anti-static compounds than others. I usually wax my rig, then after a few days I might do a quick rinse and dry, using a squeegee on the large surfaces. That gets rid of the dust and most of the static.
I would never remove the dust with a dry cloth or duster from the whole rig. If you do you will notice fine scratches in your finish, especially on decals. And if there is a lot of static, you can't really get the dust off anyway, you just move it around.
But mainly I just live with the dust. At least the rig is clean, shiny, and the dust is evenly applied as long as you don't touch it
