I loaded it with that clay tape but better safe than sorry. Tommorrow I do I final caulking and I plan on recaulking all lights and every Nick and cranny visible. Water is no joke and it's opened my eyes as to what it can do.

By the time your done you will know everyinch of your camper. How did you make out with awning? It's hard to follow your progress with the various things in different threads vs one. Glad your progressing well. What is eta of your first trip to enjoy the works of your labor.

I didnt have time for the awning with this wall replacement, the wall was unplanned , found it and dove in. a big part of me wants to take the other walls down, lol. I wish I had a large garage with room but for now I will just leave things as they are. I still have quiet a bit to do, awning, bearings, tires and some clean up. For now I'm focusing big on sealing , I will be caulking everything this evening .

I opened a can of worms..

Thanks, I'm going to run
a blade down and clean up the excess clay. Then I'll lay a fat bead of Rv caulk for extra reassurance.

This guy is selling a trailer like mine for 7200$ . Mine is a little more beat by the sun but will look decent when I'm done with it. Just goes to show me that I didn't do too bad. I paid 2500$ and have barely put 400$ into it yet. I'm bought new tires and awning , need to install .

That you got a good deal and be further ahead in the long run. You also don't know if you would have had to fix things on the $7000 trailer.

Yours looked just as good. That one in the link may have serious issues with that cage on back. Most likely he continually overloaded the back end behind the axles.

He will be a while selling at that price. I sold my 2000 mallard in great shape for $5000.00 last year. That is a 18 year old trailer for almost half the price of a new one. You did good on your deal.

Chicago area is high priced for used RV's. For 5k you can't really get a bathroom and AC and all of that and if you find it its old or small or both

One of the issues you run into when buy 2nd hand is the last owner did not maintain as required ya end up with a lot of water leaks. Looks like you got it under control. Later RJD
