Is this a normal way to seal a slider?

I haven't got a friend or neighbor close by with a slider that I could compare with so I figured I'd ask the FR forums brain trust. The roof seal of the slider appears to be sealed with duct tape (pretty strong looking duct tape). Is that normal? Should I put Eternabond on it instead (that might cause issues with the seal but I'm not sure)?

Here's a picture

Eternabond comes in white, black, gray, and tan colors. Yes, what you are seeing is normal. Don't fix what ain't broken.

I've not bought & used Eternabond but I've seen it on my roof around the vents, etc and it looks a lot thicker than this stuff. I took another picture from the front side of the slider and you can see a "pucker" that shows how thin it is - like duct tape. I wasn't aware that Eternabond came in colors other than the white/cream colored stuff I've seen on the roof so maybe this is it but it sure looks more like some kind of tape...

You can get Eternabond in different thickness. Look on their website. https://www.eternabond.com/

That's not duct tape. Either Eternabond or one of several knockoffs. Have that on my camper and have had no issues. Keep an eye on it and make sure there are no cuts or ripples that would allow water to get under it. It does look like a screw head is trying to pop through. I would think about cutting a hole where it is, tighten it and put a dab of Dicor on it.

yeah, I was worried about that and the pucker spot.

Do they make smaller tubes of Dicor? I seem to only need small amounts and then it dries up before I get to use the rest of the tube...
