It pays to check...

I've seen many posts about checking safety/maintenance items so being a nice day I drove the 15 minutes to visit my TT. Last item I looked at was the roof - Oh Poop. Vent cover was missing over the bathroom. Recent heavy winds and rain tore it off (from the closed position). Oddly, no water standing inside anywhere - floors, under cabinets, floor registers - nada!?

So, replaced the vent cover, added a maxaire cover over that and put away tools/cleaned up. A little dirt on the toilet seat lid (which sits directly under the vent) that wiped off easily; then I found where all the rain water went - the toilet was 3/4 full!!

On this model the lid is smaller than the seat so the rain dripped onto the lid, over the edge onto the seat and into the bowl.

My lucks in the toilet and that's not a bad thing.

Thanks to everyone who posts about keeping on top of safety/maintenance stuff.
