Lever lock and unlock on awning.

Have a 2013 forest River Salem Sport SRV32 Toy hauler. The awning is Manual and when we were on vacation earlier this month it was sticking and I noticed the lever that you use the long rod to reach up and unlock it no longer has a lock and unlock position and it moves freely when before you had to unlock it to get it to extend out. Now it just comes down while sticking a little bit. Anybody have this problem before? I have heard these things are not fun to take apart.

Use the search box at the upper right for manual awnings and you should be able to find your answer with recommendations for correction
