Loose panel

Help. I have a 04' All American Sport 5th Wheel, 36CK. The panel above where the hitch comes out of the RV is loose on one side. I pulled back the protective rubber strip to tighten the screws but they all seem stripped. What type of material do these screws screw into? Can I reinstall these screws an inch or so from where they are now? Thanks

Installed longer and larger screws. All is well.
