I’m confused on what I read or watch regarding UV protection on Alpha TPO roofing. The Alpha website states to only clean the roofing 4x year with mild detergent and not to use anything else.
This is from there website:
The Alpha roof membrane is quite inert and will resist weathering well; nor does it require the periodic application of products to protect it from ultra-violet light or ozone. In fact, these products can often cause damage to the roof membrane.
But many on this forum and on the web insist on using products such as 303 aerospace protectant every few months to protect the roofing.
I decided to follow the manufactures recommendation as to not have warranty issues.
What are your thoughts on this subject?
Believe it or not its my opinion that the Mfg knows what is best for their product and the internet what ever the source needs to be taken with a grain of salt. You are on the right course JMHO

I agree, if Alpha said it needed something, they would sell it, or endorse something. I see they said wash with Dawn. and I see they also sell sealants.
I had one on my Open Range, great roof, accept be careful as they are slippery when wet, especially with dawn
