Metal panel siding came off.

I was on this year's maiden voyage, with our FR Wildwood, from Fort Worth to Columbus, OH. I pulled over to get gas in New London, just west of the Texas/Arkansas line, and realized that my TT driver side panel, window height had peeled back and was barely holding by a small piece of metal on the corner. This panel was peeled back from the trim which covers where the laminate and the metal panels come together at the front of the TT. There does not appear to be any damage to the laminate or even the trim, other than some very miner scratches that correlate with marks on the panel, showing the panel had come lose and rubbed against the trim before peeling back. I turned it in to my insurance company, but they hinted that it appeared to be a defect in manufacturing. Has anybody else experienced any damage like this occurring from a defect?
