Outdoor kitchen hatch door hinge pins-what are they?

The outdoor kitchen hatch door hinge pins have both sheared in half-don't ask me how, I don't know.

I hammered out what I could and they appear to be 1/4" black-brown plastic friction tent like pegs.

I am attempting to ascertain what they are called so that I can replace them. So far my random searches for plastic hinge pins have failed.

They look something like this broken off piece. I assume they are about 6" long. You can't see it, but it has ridges every 3/16" to give it some grab inside the piano type hinge on the hatch door. Without the ridges the pin would slide out just like a metal hinge pin would since the hinge is horizontal, not vertical like a door hinge. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes Aussie, but being a horizontal hinge, a metal hinge pin will vibrate out since there is very little friction. If I can't find the plastic friction pins, I will probably go with metal and put a dab of caulking at the head to hold it to the hinge.

How about a metal pin with a small cotter pin? Or a push on nut. Or stake the last barrel with a center punch?

Try McMaster.com. They have every piece of hardware in the world.
