Outside cover for electrical hookup

Hi all, Newbie to rv camping. We purchased a Mini Lite last Fall. Did get one outing before winter, so found my way through winterizing and de-winterizing. Is there a trick to opening the weather cover to the electrical ? Busted my knuckles once too often trying to pry the bugger open.

Can you post a pic of what you're talking about?

I've suffered the same aggravation and recently discovered that the ground pin on the 30A plug serves as a good pry tool. Point it up and lever the rubber part of the plug against the trailer wall. The cover pops right open.

Before someone lectures me about prying with the plug, it's actually very little pressure on the pin and the molded body of the plug is quite sturdy. The real issue is not being able to get a grip on the weather cover more than it is being too tightly closed.

I hope you find this helpful.
