Poor roofing material or dealer misrepresentation
I have a 2016 Sandpiper destination trailer. The dometic AC unit leaked into the roof cavity. After one year and five trips if service calls to my location to fix the problem I now have a rotten sub roof and water has travelled into the floor.
The dealer has located three small holes in the roof membrane all around the AC unit ( where the techs were working) and is blaming these for the damage. I feel that the rot was from the bad AC unit and the dealer's incompetence to repair / diagnose the issue early on.
Is it reasonable for a two year old roof to have tears in membrane if the only reason an owner was there was to clean the roof and inspect.
When I was inspecting I couldn't see anything but now there is - weird.
As a destination trailer shouldn't the roof be more durable and not degrade so quickly and be so fragile?
