Removal of RV ladder

Quick question....I had an altercation with a roofline and bent the ladder on the back of our trailer. New one is $108 to buy plus close to $200 to ship! Not happening. I'd prefer to remove it and just carry a telescoping latter with me. I have to remove all the standoffs which have 4-5 screws each. Any recommendation on how to best seal the holes that remain? Assuming I can find some touch up paint once I take care of that.....thanks!

Fix the ladder. That's what I did. Mine was mangled pretty good. Where the tubing actually broke, I inserted galvanized conduit inside and secured it by screwing in self drilling sheet metal screws. Ladder is as good as new!

Assuming you have smooth sides.. use Lexel sealant. It comes in clear and some colors.

You could always have the holes repaired the same way boaters fix Gel-Coat and have it painted but at that point, I'd be buying a replacement or fixing the one I had.
