Repairing aluminum exteriors

Non-camper related, but thought ya'll might be able to help me since it's still trailer related.

Bought a used 2011 Jensen 18' enclosed cargo trailer last week that was previously owned by a cell tower contractor, so it has it's share of dents and bruises on it. The roof is bare aluminum and the sides are white coated/painted aluminum.

On the sides there are holes from where screws were or where they ran bolts through the walls to mount something to the inside. There is 1 bad spot on the side that's maybe 2"x2" where it looks like something poked through the aluminum. The roof has a few spots where its more hairline cracks likely from when they were loading cell tower parts and it slipped off the rack. So the gaps are very small and more hairline.

I bought some Vulkem 116, but i'm wonder do i just goop up the holes/cracks and call it good? Or, when i was at home depot i bought a pack of aluminum "step flashing". Was thinking i could cut these down to appropriate size and put some vulkem down and then press a patch piece onto that.

Thoughts?
