Ridin' the storm out - hurricane proofing our travel trailer

PLUS, its a new use for FROG TAPE - TRAVEL TRAILER HURRICANE PROOFING.

We have a travel trailer at our weekend getaway place in Putnam County, FL, which is in the Hurricane Matthew Warning zone. We decided to take extra precautions and tape the windows shut and then cover it with the custom fit ADCO cover (which we have only had to use 3 times, but has now paid for itself).

We opted for FROG Tape which is supposed to repeal paint and peel off easily. We taped all the jalousie style windows, all the hatches and window seams where water intrusion can get in during hurricane force winds. Travel trailers are pretty waterproof in general, but 10 hours of hurricane force winds can drive moisture inside a regular home, so you know it can impact your travel trailer.

Also, we have a 50 pint dehumidifier running at 55% RH sitting inside the tub with a drain hose, running as needed. So, it should do well, unless a tree limb falls on it.

Luckily, I had a very patient and beautiful assistant (my wife), who would probably kill me if she knew I posted her pic online!
