Roof Maintenance No Matter How Hard You Try

In March 2016, my wife and I purchased a new 2016 Forester 3011DS . Within the first three months, we began experiencing leaks in the rear bays, and then the ceiling over the rear bedroom and the front cab-over bed causing the ceiling to stain. Forest River took care of the repairs under warranty.
Since then, I inspect the roof about every six months crawling around and checking the caulking for possible cracks. In spite of that, I recently noticed yet another tea colored stain developing in the ceiling over the kitchen area. Frustrating! Since the stain in the ceiling was close to the new AC we recently had installed, I took the RV to our local RV dealer where we purchased the rig and where the new AC was installed. After determining that the AC wasn't causing the leak, they checked the caulking and finally took the refrigerator vent cover off. See pics. They discovered several large cracks and two holes which couldn't been seen when the vent cover is on. We have no idea what caused the two holes. What also surprised me was the rust inside the vent. It looks like it is from a much older RV and not one that is only about two years old.
I am posting this as an FYI so that everyone is aware you might have a possible entry point for leaks under the vent cover, in case it is an area you don't check.

We had a very similar problem on our 40' Allegro bus...actually thought my old picture had been hijacked! Glad you found the problem!

The caulking looks like it's heat damaged.
