I clean and condition them about every third time I do the main roof.

I'm new as well. What do you mean by "condition"? Thanks

Protect All makes rubber roof cleaner and treatment products. It's no rinse, so nothing runs down the side of your RV to strip the the wax.
The cleaner works extremely well and is much easier and faster. Roof will look like new.
The treatment (conditioner) just wipes on and helps protect from the sun and subsequent chalking.
This is the best product I've found. You can buy it at Amazon, Camping World, Walmart.

I use self-leveling Dicor lap sealant when I've had cracks around the skylight - or when I had to remove/replace our TV antenna. That's what is used at the factory.

The roof on mine is made by Alpha Systems, and they tell you no 'treatment' is required or suggested, other than a scrub down with spic and span 4 times a year. I didn't feel like running out to store for spic and span, so I just diluted some Mr. Clean in a bucket of water and used that. Seemed to work fine.

I heard that tape is good too. But the cleaning part was for the OP.

303 protectant spray I have been using it for over ten years finally found it again and the owner of a rv rental swears by it he puts it on every spring and on the vent covers and Ac covers. It doesn’t attract the dirt at all it dry’s up nicely. I use it on my interior of my cars too. Wash the roof lite brush non abrasive soap.

I would use Eternabond tape. It is available on Amazon in different widths and lengths.

X2 on the spic 'n span. My instructions state to use a mild household cleaner and that use of chlorine bleach and abrasive or caustic compounds may void the roof warranty.

joweeee,

I might suggest you post your tire question to the "Running Gear, Axles, Brakes, Tires & Frames" thread. This thread is for "Roofs, Sealing, Covers & Vents" questions.

Also, asking a new question in a thread that is off-topic from the one asked by the original poster (OP) is considered a "hijack" of the original thread. This has two downsides: (1) it's a bit impolite and (2) it effectively buries your question in the thread which gives it limited visibility to those who might provide you with help. We've all done it at one time or another but a friendly reminder usually straightens things out.
