Roof Type
We have a 2011 Rockwood 2306 Mini Lite. When purchasing it, the salesman and said it had a vinyl roof that most people agreed was better than rubber because we would notice less black streaking on the walls. The literature for the trailer also said it had a vinyl roof. This is our first trailer, and if you asked me, i would have told you that the roof looked like every other roof I had seen. It had a textured surface and it looked/felt more like rubber than vinyl. I couldn't tell the difference, and we got black streaks.
This fall we had a hail storm that dented the plywood decking under the material. It didn't leak, but I decided to use the insurance money to repair the roof rather than pocket it. I reminded the dealer of the vinyl roof.
Picked up the trailer last week, and the roof material is completely different. The dealer told me what it was, and that it was better than rubber. It has a shiny hard smooth surface, with a felt backing. It is much stiffer than the old roof, and I would think should hold up better than a more pliable rubber roof. But for all i know it is rubber?
I'm confused. Does anybody know what I got and if I got screwed?
