Roof Vent Cover

I have a roof vent cover that I want to replace in the bedroom end of or camper, I bought a tinted cover so there will not be as much light in that part of the camper, can be a little bright when you are trying to sleep, the cover I have looks to be a snap on type from what I can tell, the cover I bought matches the hinge on the existing one and looks just to snap in place, any suggestions appreciated.

Sounds like what are are describing is a vent lid. The thing that raises up and down to let air in/out.

I'd suggest getting an actual vent cover to protect it. Also lets you keep it open even when raining. Something like this:
