Screw backing out under trim

2016 Cardinal
I have a screw backing out thatís pushing my trim off under the nose of my 5th wheel. Iím not sure what to do and was thinking about drilling a large enough hole to get a screw driver in there and tighten it back up. Iím afraid if I take the trim off to get to it, Iíll never get it back on correctly. Pictures are from both sides. Any suggestions?

If you could be sure that it's just the one screw, I'd agree that drilling a small hole through the trim and tightening that one back up would work. But, what if it's more screws and you're just not seeing them yet.

I'd be inclined to take the trim off and inspect and tighten all the screws and then put the trim back on. It shouldn't be hard to get the trim off and put it back.

So I had a similar issue. It seems to me my trim covers under weíre floating and not anchored to the frame. So I drilled a new hole and used a shorter screw. This connects the cap to the under side trim panel.

If you do decide to take the trim off try to do when the weather or wherever the 5th wheel is warm. The warmer the better, the plastic trim will work much better.
