just clean it up and reseal with non sagging sealant. or you could put eternabond tape down the seam as soon on wandering weekends youtube video. i am a little hesitant to do the eternabond route on mine because it has caused an issue for me on a temporary repair.

Kinda surprised that I am not getting at least a few more responses ?? Is this maybe a very "touchy" subject ?

Thank you. Might U have a specific reference to that wandering weekends video about the Eternabond application?

Not sure why you want FR to do it since you'd have to haul your destination trailer to Indiana. But your dealer should be able to do it, for a price.

On a 2017 camper with this already happening! Does anyone know or think that this repair should be covered by Forest River for free ??

WOW ! Our 2007 Jayco, when we sold it in 2017, looked ten times better than that.

FR warranty only covers the roof for the one year since it's a ball to bumper coverage. FR won't cover the roof on a 4 year old trailer. They don't make the roof material.
But the roof membrane has its own separate warranty on the material only. You can go to the membrane manufacturer to see if they'll cover it. But it won't include labor.
So no, I don't think FR is required to cover a 4 year old roof. No other RV manufacturer would cover it either. Yes, it would be nice if they would.

This looks like a maintenance issue. The caulking is drying & shrinking away around its' edges. Time to peel/remove the old caulking and reapply. Depending on environment, this can happen sooner that one would think.

I'm thinking I'll do the Eternabond. Just wondering IF I should get the width of the Eternabond wide enough to reach above the roof edge curl and grab onto the top of the roof, or just wide enough to seal all of the vertical span?

Not sure, but I was pretty sure we had an Alpha Systems TPO roof, but they just said we only have their Superflex on the slideouts, AND have the Dicor membrane on the roof! This could be a real issue as I pursue this possible mix-up further. Does anyone have a comment on the quality of a Dicor roof vs Alpha?

Looks like FR roofs have 12 year warranties. Anyone know how a warranty may actually take place when the trailer is unlikely to be moved? It would be good to know what others have experienced under the roof warranty and how it came to be or was somehow reimbursed...

We’d be interested to know where you heard FR roofs have 12 year warranties.

There are several threads with photos on the forums where members applied EternaBond to their rv's. Many times within the first year of ownership as preventive maintenance. While your at it you can use 6 or 8 inch wide rolls for the seams at the front and rear caps.
Instructions for application of Eternabond tape can be found in the Library section of the forum, https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...do=file&id=211 and https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...do=file&id=213.
Clean the adjacent roofing and sides with mineral spirits on a rag followed by isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol on a rag. Eternabond can be applied over the existing lap sealant but you need to remove any flaking or loose lap sealant. Use a stiff bristle brush to remove dried flaking lap sealant.
Use 4 inch on the sides covering the vinyl strip covering the screws and into the gutter rolling it over on the roof edge. Roll it down with a seam roller for a good bond.
Do the rear cap first, then the sides overlapping the rear eternabond. Follow by doing the front cap overlapping the side eternabond. If you purchased enough you can apply the tape over the sealant around your vents and other through the roof areas.
Eternabond recommends applying non-sag or self-leveling lap sealant on the leading edges of the tape where wind may get underneath. If done properly, Eternabond warranties their product for 10 years.

Fix with Eternabond
do it yourself and do it right the first time
I believe I can do a better job on most RV repairs then the average RV tech at a dealership and be glad that I did it myself.
you could do entire perimeter of roof by yourself in about 2-4 hours on a 60-70 degree day... start slow with 3-4 foot lengths of tape, and overlap next section onto the end of previous section. Eternabond is easy to work with in short segments and you will get the hang of it quickly. I would only get enough width to put maybe 1/2 inch on top and curl it down into and to the bottom of the horizontal metal strip... any more in my opinion is wasted... once Eternabond is properly installed it will NOT peel up... read the info on Enternabond website here EternaBond Leak Repair Installation Instructions
BUT you need a clean surface... below is what I did over 5 years ago...

I think that's the warranty by the manufacturer of the roof. Of course, the proper maintenance will determine what they will cover. In our case, our trailer rubber roof manufacturer recommended cleaning with Original Murphy Oil Soap.
